With generous support from the ASUS Foundation, SSSP distributed refurbished laptops and launched hands-on computer classes for both adult and child learners in Türkiye and Syria. Building on last year’s online Office tools course, this new initiative aims to foster digital literacy and practical tech skills in underserved communities.

🛠 The transformation process was full of challenges:
– Switching system language from Chinese to Arabic
– Replacing Taiwan-style plugs with European ones
– Managing weak batteries and unstable internet

When the first class began, laptops auto-updated and slowed things down. Most students had no mobile data, but thanks to creative teamwork (and a heroic hotspot from our member), learning moved forward.

👨‍🏫 For adults, the focus was on Google Drive and workplace tools.
👧 For children, we taught basics like Google Docs, file naming, and how to insert pictures—all through simple, hands-on tasks.

This isn’t just a tech class—it’s a step toward opportunity and self-confidence in digital spaces. And every obstacle we overcame showed the power of preparation, care, and belief in the students.
