Grandpa’s Classroom

The Grandpa’s Classroom is located in Idlib, in a distanced town, where less school excites, hundreds of kids take turns and come to attend Quran, Arabic, Hadith, and English classes, in the Grandpa’s small home, since the rental of a school for them is out of their financial league. Grandpa aims to devote all of his awakening time to teaching kids, as he told me once, “I did this voluntarily for a very long time, I really believe that the best thing I can do to please my creator is to teach”.

The Grandpa Classroom recently got way much more organized, as we are saying a huge collaboration from their side. The grandpa classroom has normal and special needs kids, because of the lack or non-existence of the special needs courses in northern Syria. They help the kids learn the right morals and their religion’s teachings which will help them in their afterlife, and recently they are even helping them learn English at this young age, which will help them in both their academic and working life!

Grandpa’s Classroom in Idlib, Syria, continues to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners, and it is essential to look ahead and envision a future that encompasses even greater educational opportunities.

One of the primary goals for the future of Grandpa’s Classroom is to expand educational opportunities for children in the community. With a growing demand for quality education, the school aims to increase its capacity to accommodate more students. This expansion will enable Grandpa’s Classroom to reach even more children in need and provide them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. By expanding educational opportunities, the school aims to empower a greater number of young learners and contribute to the overall development of the community.

Grandpa’s Classroom has witnessed the transformative power of education in the lives of students, and the aspiration is to extend this impact to even more children in need. This involves reaching out to marginalized communities, remote areas, and children affected by conflict or displacement. Through the support of SSSP (Small School Support Project), the school aims to identify and reach those children who may have limited access to education. By providing them with the opportunity to learn and grow, Grandpa’s Classroom aims to break the cycle of poverty and empower these children to build a better future for themselves and their communities.

As Grandpa’s Classroom continues to make a difference in the lives of children in Idlib, the path to a promising future is paved with aspirations and goals to expand educational opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and reach even more children in need. Through the efforts of SSSP, the school is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can access quality education, develop their talents, and build a brighter future. The journey ahead is driven by a shared vision of empowering young learners and creating sustainable change through education.
