We at SSSP (Small School Support Project) are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our #SmallPowerBigHope event on August 4th in Taiwan! The event was a fantastic opportunity for raising up awareness of Refugee topic in Taiwan, and we achieved great visibility and engagement. Further more, we fundraised 2926USD for Al- Rukban camp children’s Nutrition fee support! The event included these activities:

1.⁠ ⁠Secondhand Charity Sale: Featuring well-preserved secondhand children’s clothing and items, all the vendors signed up and donated the income to SSSP at the day! Special thanks to the SET News anchors for donating beautiful secondhand clothes, special thanks to Ms. Wenyi Lee to participate the event physically! 🛒👗

2.⁠ ⁠Game Challenge: Kids enjoyed a fun and educational game, where they completed various challenges to win small prizes. The games helped children learn about the topic while having fun! 🤡🎲

3.⁠ ⁠Educational Lectures: All-day non-stop programs were delivered by many well-known and high reputation lecturers. Topics included Taiwan family travel experiences, marine conservation by “Uncle Turtle” from the Taiwan Cetacean Society, and an introduction to Brazilian Capoeira by Grupo União Capoeira Taiwan. 🎓🦈

4.⁠ ⁠Dynamic Performances: The event featured a K-pop dance performance by StarKids Children’s Talent Academy, a soothing musical experience with the Fuxin Qin, a captivating live storytelling theater by Daddy Lu, and a freestyle soccer showcase by FC Vikings – Taiwan. 💃🕺⚽

One of the highlights was a successful video call with Palmyra School in the Rukban Camp, allowing students from the Al-Rukban camp to interact and communicate with participants in Taiwan. It was a heartwarming moment that bridged the gap between communities and highlighted the importance of global solidarity. 🌍📞

We are proud to share that we raised $2,926 USD in funds! This amount will significantly support the nutritional needs of the children in the Rukban refugee camp, ensuring they receive a nutritious meal every week. 🍎❤
